We offer Performance Training for our players aged 5 through 13 each of the months of the year. These sessions are split into two each Friday, one for players ages 5 to 8 and one for players aged 9 to 13.
The groups are limited to 12 players each, and the focus of these sessions is on technical skills, like dribbling, beating an opponent, shooting, passing, among others. The primary goal of these session is to provide players with quality skill repetition to aid in their development.
This training program is available to recreational players, PDA players, and Youth Academy players. Sessions are held at both Chestnut Log and East Carrollton on a rotational basis with roughly 2 Fridays per month at each location.
When you click the register button below, you are taken to our PlayMetrics registration system where you will register for the program that is "May (of whichever month we are in) Performance Training". The package title will have the location and date "May 3 Performance Training: Chestnut Log".
Coach Josh operates the majority of our Performance Training throughout the year. He has been coaching youth soccer in West Georgia for 15 years, and has playes playing professionally, as well as over 50 college players at the college and semi-pro level in the US.
Generally, each small group training session will include:
1. Dynamic warmup
2. 1-2 Technical skills work
3. Technical skills application
4. Mini competitions
5. Cooldown/stretch
Cost is $25 per session.
